Bolbitis
heteroclita is a slow growing amphibious fern and can survive under very
weak light.
However, it is most beautiful under stronger light. It is
one of the more challenging plants to grow in an aquarium.
Leaves
grown under submersed conditions are smaller and more wrinkled.
High
water temperatures will usually cause the plants to wither and burn.
Growth is optimal by supplying a current, CO2 and soft, slightly acidic
water.
Care must be taken not to cover the rhizome as it will rot. The common method is to tie them to wood or rocks.
